Watford must do "everything possible" to keep Marco Silva from leaving for Everton, says Christian Kabasele.
Watford refused Everton permission to speak with Silva on Monday morning, insisting their manager would be staying at Vicarage Road.
Although Everton's efforts to secure Silva's services appear to be at an end, with no break clause in the 40-year-old's two-year contract, Sky Sports News understands Silva would be interested in talking to the club.
Kabasele, who has become a regular in Watford's defence under Silva, has urged the club to take any means necessary to ensure his manager stays put.
"Everybody could see he changed a lot of things in the team," Kabasele told Sky Sports News. "We had quite a lot of the same players but we improved a lot. That means he worked very well with us.
"When you have somebody like this and other teams are looking for him it's important that Watford try to do everything possible to keep him."
Watford return to Premier League action on Sunday when they host West Ham, live on Sky Sports Premier League.
