Watford have completed the signing of left-back Marvin Zeegelaar from Sporting Lisbon.
The 27-year-old Dutchman, who has yet to be capped at international level but was called into the Netherlands squad for the first time last year, completed a medical on Thursday afternoon and is the club's ninth signing of the summer.
And he will now be reunited with former Sporting boss Marco Silva, who reportedly tried to sign him for Hull last season and is now in charge at Watford.
We understand he has joined the Hornets for a fee in the region of £3m.
Zeegelaar has some experience of English football already, having made two appearances for Blackpool during a loan spell in 2013.
Watford have made a decent start to the Premier League season, having taken five points from three games, but regular left-back Jose Holebas was suspended for Saturday's 0-0 draw at Brighton and his replacement Miguel Britos was then sent off in that match.
