Watford have confirmed that Odion Ighalo has completed a move to Chinese club Changchun Yatai.
A fee of £20m is understood to have been agreed between the two clubs and Ighalo had earlier completed a medical in central London under the guidance of representatives from the Chinese Super League side.
The Nigeria international then returned to Watford's training ground where he finalised the details of the transfer.
Head coach Walter Mazzarri confirmed on Friday that the club was considering a "very important" offer for the striker who scored 39 goals in 100 appearances at Vicarage Road.
However, Ighalo had scored just twice this season following his superb 17-goal return last term.
A statement on the club's website said: "All at Watford FC thank Odion for his contributions to the club, and wish him the best of luck for his future career."
Mazzarri's forward options have been boosted with the arrival of Mauro Zarate on a two-and-a-half-year deal from Fiorentina, while M'Baye Niang has also joined on loan.
