Walter Mazzarri is confident of strengthening his Watford squad during the January transfer window.
The Hornets put their poor Premier League form to one side as they beat Burton 2-0 on Saturday to make the draw for the FA Cup fourth round.
The imminent return of Valon Behrami, Nordin Amrabat and Stefano Okaka is further cause for encouragement, but Mazzarri has already earmarked areas of the squad he wants to improve.
"I think some players will join us for sure," said the Italian, whose last league win came six games ago. "I have given some indications to the club where we need reinforcements.
"The January transfer window is very difficult, but I'm very positive that someone will arrive."
One player who could be leaving Vicarage Road this month is Jerome Sinclair, who scored his first Watford goal in the win over Burton.
The summer signing has started just once in the league, and Mazzarri is considering sending him out on loan.
"He's a player who needed this goal to hopefully unlock himself and be the Sinclair that I always see in training," the head coach said.
"We will see if he goes out on loan because he's a young player who needs to play as much as possible. He's a player with great potential."
