Jamie Redknapp has slammed Watford defender Christian Kabasele as he was caught off-guard and unprepared to be substituted onto the field.
During the game at Vicarage Road against Stoke, Younes Kaboul was limping for a number of minutes before being taken off by manager Walter Mazzarri.
But as he made his way down the tunnel, there was no one to instantly replace him as Kabasele was still getting his correct kit on over in the dug-out before eventually coming on around three minutes later.
The incident left Watford with 10 men for a period, and it prompted an angry reaction from Sky Sports pundit Redknapp at half-time.
"I thought I'd seen it all in football. Younes Kaboul's been down for two minutes and they're trying to figure out how his calf could be," he said on Nissan Super Sunday.
"Kabasele was going to come on, but he hasn't done his laces, hasn't got his shinpads ready. 'At least I've got my shirt,' he thinks. 'Oh, hang on, I haven't got my shirt on!' Next thing he's looking for his shirt, hasn't got that, needs help from the kitman to put it on.
"Come on, mate, get yourself on the pitch, the team needs you. I've never seen anything like it. It's the Premier League!"
