Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri has targeted further improvements after beating Middlesbrough 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Hornets picked up their third Premier League win of the season thanks to a stunning strike from Jose Holebas as they saw off a plucky Boro side at the Riverside Stadium.
But despite bettering their last two top-flight results, boss Mazzarri was still was not entirely pleased with the overall performance and has urged for more from his players.
"I'm happy in general in the personality that the team had today, but I'm not so happy with the performance overall," he told Sky Sports after the victory.
"Congratulations to Middlesbrough because they pressed for the whole match and were very organised but I'm not so happy as a manager with the overall performance.
"It is much better compared to Burnley but in many ways, there are a lot of things we can improve. We have done much better on the overall performance but Middlesbrough didn't make it easy."
The Hornets also kept their first clean sheet in all competitions this term, with Issac Success impressing on his first start for Watford since his summer move.
"I'm happy with him [Success], even though he played much better when he came on as a substitute in the other games. I'm hoping he improves his physical condition in order to get ready 100 per cent to help us in the coming matches," Mazzarri added.
"[Keeping a clean sheet] is a very positive thing that we have to take into consideration. We played very well without conceding a goal so this is something we have to be proud of as well."
