Could Quique Sanchez Flores could leave Watford this summer?

Quique Sanchez Flores says he will not waste time worrying about his Watford future ahead of end-of-season talks.

Flores has all-but secured the club's Premier League survival and also took them to an FA Cup semi-final in his first year at Vicarage Road.

That record has not prevented speculation Watford may exercise a break clause in the Spaniard's contract this summer, although they insist no decision has been made.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's home game against Aston Villa, Flores pointed out the break clause is a two-way street and said it would be down to others to judge the success of the season.

"I never plan long for anything as I know how life moves and because life is full of surprises," he said. "I need to transmit my happiness for the fans, my family, and security for my players. I cannot lose time thinking about the future in football.

"It's a clause at the end of the season that means we need to talk again. So at the end of the season we will talk again.

"It's an option and when you put this kind of clause in the contract, it's for both parties. So you need to be clear and to see the things in the same angle."

Flores was appointed last summer as Watford's fifth head coach in two years, and predecessor Slavisa Jokanovic departed despite winning promotion.

"Of course I saw that," Flores said. "When I sign with a club I check everything, every condition.

"I felt really safe thinking about coming here. I felt we were able to do the objectives. My work this season is not done as we have four matches more.

"I'm not going to justify the season. I have experience in football and I feel happiness around Watford. The way people read the season, it's impossible [to say].

"What I understand is as a human being when you reach objectives, you want more. That is sometimes possible, sometimes it is not."
