Ben Watson insists the entire Watford squad want the 'incredible' Quique Sanchez Flores to stay amid speculation over the manager's future.
A recent slump in form has led to rumours surrounding Sanchez Flores' Watford future, despite him leading the promoted side to Premier League safety and an FA Cup semi-final.
Midfielder Watson has revealed the former Valencia and Atletico Madrid manager has the full backing of his players, and believes he should be receiving accolades rather than criticism.
"Everyone in that changing room hopes the manager stays," Watson said after the Hornets' 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Wembley.
"He's the best manager I've worked under, he's been fantastic this season. I thought he'd be up for manager of the year.
"To have a team joint-11th in the Premier League, getting to an FA Cup semi-final and be under pressure, there's not much more we can do.
"He's been incredible for us. I don't know what's going on. If it's speculation, it's speculation, there's not much we can do about it. We've just got to get on with our jobs."
