Quique Sanchez Flores described Watford's 3-2 win at bottom side Aston Villa as "amazing" after a topsy-turvy encounter.
Watford earned their fifth win of the season to go up to 11th in the Premier League, with strikes from Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney, plus an own goal from Villa's Alan Hutton.
And Flores, who said his side dominated for 60 minutes, was delighted with the vital away win as the promoted side look to cement themselves in mid-table.
He told Sky Sports: "It was an amazing victory for us because it is very difficult to play against Aston Villa.
"For us I think we started very well, in the first 20 minutes we had some high pressure, had the opportunity to score.
"After the 1-1 goal it was a little bit difficult to stop Aston Villa, but in the second half we pressed high and played on the counter attack.
"We are happy with the result, we dominated the match and had the control of the game for about an hour."
Ighalo and Deeney now have 12 goals between them this season, but Flores chose to praise the pair for their work-rate and defensive work at Villa Park.
"We were talking about how special this match was for Deeney, but Deeney is our experience, is part of our soul and represents the values of this team.
"For us it's very important that since the beginning that the connection of these two players. It's important that they score, and it's important that they play well, but it's very important how they fight for the system.
"We are often defending with 11 players because Deeney and Ighalo are always ready to help the rest of the players."
