Manchester City are more accustomed to extreme winning margins and Pep Guardiola's side did exactly that with a 5-0 victory over Brighton, with Raheem Sterling scoring a hat-trick to guarantee runner-up spot in this week's rankings.

Sterling's impressive stats

Raheem Sterling has scored 27 goals in all competitions for Manchester City this season - this is his best scoring season in his career.

Since the 2015/16 season when he joined Manchester City, only Harry Kane (9) and Sergio Aguero (7) have scored more Premier League hat-tricks than Raheem Sterling (4).

Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski (No 3) and stopper Nick Pope (No 7) produced defensive masterclasses in a 1-1 draw at Liverpool, with Kevin Long also performing well at the back in his third league start this season.

Manchester United almost jumped into third spot to leapfrog Chelsea and Leicester in the race for Champions League qualification but remained in fifth at the final whistle after conceding a stoppage-time equaliser against Southampton.

Anthony Martial (No 5) teed up Marcus Rashford for a first-half leveller before smashing United ahead minutes later - while Bruno Fernandes (No 4) and Mason Greenwood (No 8) slipped in the rankings but remained in the top 10.

Jamie Vardy moved one step closer to landing the Golden Boot with his 23rd league goal this season - but Leicester moved one step backwards in the battle for Champions League qualification with the 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth.

Michail Antonio is the player of the round after scoring his first career hat-trick and becoming West Ham's first player to score four goals in a Premier League match.

Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus edged into the top 10 with his goal at Brighton and Sheffield United defender John Egan was among the top performers after helping his side keep a clean sheet in the 3-0 win over Chelsea.

In terms of each club's top player, a raft of relegation saviours stand out: Antonio leads the way, but Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) and Trezeguet (Aston Villa) top their respective clubs after inspiring critical wins.

Who will be Power Rankings king?

Across the entire season, Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne remains in pole position with a league-topping 18 assists and another 11 goals to his name.

But Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is in pursuit and could still claim the crown with stellar performances against Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle - if Jurgen Klopp starts him ahead of fellow youngster Neco Williams.
