Manuel Pellegrini says revenge will be on his mind when West Ham take on Watford in their final match of the Premier League season on Sunday.
The Hammers were on a four-match winning run when they hosted the Hornets in December, but Pellegrini saw his side slip to a 2-0 defeat.
Pellegrini is preparing his side for the return fixture at Vicarage Road this weekend and wants West Ham to show Watford their true colours.
He said: "It was a moment in the season where we were having good results. Unfortunately we lost the game here at home against a team that plays football very well.
"There's a lot of games where you think you can have a better result, but I think that game against Watford was the result that both teams deserved.
"They played well but now we are going to try and have our revenge."
West Ham could finish the season anywhere between ninth and 12th in the Premier League table, depending on final-day results.
A win at Watford would see them move above their opponents in the final table, something that Pellegrini is very much aware of.
He said: "We are not fighting for any important spot in the table, but it's better to finish ninth than finish 12th.
"If we can do it, it will be good for everyone; the players, the fans and the trust you have in the way you play.
"We know that we're playing against a good team; they are in the final of the cup also. To win a second game away, after we beat Tottenham, would also be a good achievement."
