West Ham will attempt to offload a number of fringe players in the summer in a bid to raise further transfer funds for Manuel Pellegrini, Sky Sports News understands.

Pellegrini is keen to continue reshaping his squad ahead of next season having spent £100m last summer, including a club-record £35m on Felipe Anderson.

West Ham are unlikely to offer the same transfer budget to Pellegrini this summer, but will aim to secure a further cash injection by selling players deemed surplus to requirements.

Sky Sports News understands striker Andy Carroll and goalkeeper Adrian will leave the club at the end of the season as their contracts are set to expire.

West Ham will also listen to offers for strikers Javier Hernandez, Lucas Perez and midfielder Pedro Obiang.

Hernandez has only a year left on his contract at the London Stadium and, though he has featured consistently under Pellegrini, West Ham would rather cash-in now than lose the Mexico international striker on a free transfer.

Perez has struggled to command a regular first-team place and the Spaniard attracted interest from La Liga side Real Betis in January.

Obiang has also seen his first-team appearances restricted this season following the emergence of Declan Rice and started just three Premier League matches in 2019.

Sam Byram, Jordan Hugill and Edimilson Fernandes have all spent the season out on loan at Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough and Fiorentina respectively, with West Ham keen to offload the trio on a permanent basis.
