West Ham have rejected a £35m bid from an unnamed Chinese club for forward Marko Arnautovic, according to Sky sources.
West Ham signed the Austria international for £20m from Stoke in the summer of 2017 and have him under contract until 2022.
The Hammers say Arnautovic is not for sale and that, in any case, "£35m would be nowhere near enough for such a key player".
The 29-year-old scored 11 times last season and has eight goals in 17 appearances this term, including a double in last week's 2-2 draw against Brighton.
Arnautovic was clearly unhappy at being substituted during Saturday's 2-0 FA Cup win over Birmingham - in which he also scored - but West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini played down the altercation, saying: "He [Arnautovic] was angry for just one minute, that is it."
Asked last week about potential interest in the player during the January transfer window, Pellegrini said: "I am sure Marko Arnautovic will stay here with us."
Arnautovic was linked with a move to Manchester United last summer and is also reportedly a possible target for Chelsea.
