Samir Nasri is undergoing a medical at West Ham ahead of signing a short-term deal, according to Sky sources.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder is currently serving an 18-month ban after receiving an intravenous treatment at a Los Angeles clinic in December 2016 in breach of World Anti-Doping Agency rules.
However, that suspension finishes at the end of December, and the 31-year-old has been free to train with a club since the start of November.
Now he is set to sign a deal with West Ham.
It will mean a reunion with manager Manuel Pellegrini, with whom he won the second of his two Premier League titles while at Manchester City.
Nasri was given a six-month ban by UEFA over the intravenous treatment in February before it was extended to 18 months in August, with the suspension backdated to July 1, 2017.
His last competitive appearance came for Antalyaspor on November 26 last year.
