In a game of low quality at West Brom, Pedro Obiang almost stole the show, but saw his incredible 45-yard strike cannon back off the crossbar.
It looked to be the most innocuous of situations as Obiang picked up the ball just inside West Brom's half as West Ham looked to create an opening in another otherwise dull affair at The Hawthorns.
However, Obiang spotted Ben Foster off his line, and went for it from 45 yards. For a long time, it looked like the ball would sensationally find the net, but instead cannoned back off the crossbar.
"It was special," boss Slaven Bilic said after the 0-0 draw. "He saw the 'keeper must have been outside, it deserved to be a goal as it was a magnificent strike."
The effort was in fact the closed anyone came to scoring as West Ham continued their improvement after a poor start to the season, while West Brom move into the top half of the table.
