West Ham 1-0 Burnley: Slaven Bilic wants more from team in second half
Wednesday 14 December 2016 23:45, UK
Slaven Bilic was not happy with how his side were forced to hold on against Burnley in their 1-0 win at London Stadium.
The Hammers grabbed a much-needed win, after six games without a victory, by edging past Burnley.
But Mark Noble's winning goal, the rebound after his own penalty was saved, was a fittingly unconvincing way to settle the match after another nervous display from Bilic's side.
Burnley had several chances to equalise as they dominated for large parts of the second half, and Bilic feels his side made it easy for the Clarets.
"We are afraid that we might concede a goal," Bilic told Sky Sports. "That is quite normal in the position that we are when you are desperate for points.

"We conceded late against Liverpool, so it is going to affect us, but not like that [against Burnley].
"OK they were throwing the players in there, with long balls and all that, but we should have done better in the second half.
"Those three points should give us more confidence and we won't have another second half like that. After the first half, especially when you score a goal just before half time, it shouldn't happen."
Despite wanting more from his players, Bilic was pleased with any form of victory after such a run, and feels they just about edged it.
"It was a very important win and very hard fought," Bilic added. "It was a long game, to be fair, but I think we deserved it. It was two different halves, in the first half we controlled the game and should have been two up.
"Hopefully on Saturday against Hull we will see less of that cramp, and we will be more confident."
