West Ham goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2018.
The 23-year old Switzerland under-21 international arrived at Upton Park in 2012 from Grasshopper, but has yet to make his first team debut.
Spiegel has been third choice behind Adrian and Darren Randolph this season, but insists he can force his way into the first team picture.
"Everyone wants to play and I want to get more game time and show what I am about. This is an exciting time for the club and I want to stay part of the West Ham family," he told the club's official website.
"With goalkeepers you need to be a little bit more patient as only one can play but I believe I can do it. West Ham is a very good place to be at the moment and everyone can play to their best.
"It is great to work with Adrian and Darren. They have great experience and you can always learn from them. It can only make me better."
Although he has yet to appear for West Ham, Spiegel earned first-team game time during loan spells at Barnet and Carlisle last season.
Spiegel is also relishing the chance to continue working under goalkeeping coach Chris Woods, and believes the former England international will improve his first-team chances.
"Since he (Woods) has come to the club I have improved so much under him. I am very happy to work with him and if I can carry on doing that for the next two years, I am only going to get better."
