Charlton Athletic are to become one of the first professional football clubs to participate in the annual Pride In London parade.
Previously, various London football teams have been represented in the Pride parade by their fan groups, but this year Charlton - whose LGBT+ inclusive side Invicta FC recently won the London Unity League in their first season of affiliation with the Addicks - will feature as one club: players, officials and fans.
The Sky Bet League One side's community trust (CACT) will join with associated groups, including LGBT fan group Proud Valiants, to form a party of 120 people walking the route through the capital - alongside an Addicks-themed float - on Saturday, July 7.
Charlton were recently named EFL London Checkatrade Community Club of the Year, with CACT Invicta the club's showcase project.
Dr Michael Seeraj, the Trust's Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, said: "This has been a remarkable first season for CACT Invicta, not only winning the London Unity League, but also being commended by the EFL, as part of CACT's award for winning this season's EFL London Community Club of the Year.
"We are committed to tackling discrimination and promoting inclusion, and are extremely proud that CACT Invicta now form an integral part of our wider equality programme.
"Pride in London will be a fitting finale to what has been a truly incredible year".
