Billy Sharp believes manager Chris Wilder and his players have secured legendary status at Sheffield United after clinching the Sky Bet League One title.
The Blades were crowned champions on Saturday after nearest challengers Bolton suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat away at Oldham.
United had already secured promotion to the Sky Bet Championship after claiming a 2-1 win away at Northampton last Saturday - a victory which ended their six-season stay in England's third tier.
"It's great to win the title and we can enjoy ourselves for the next three games. Our fans can celebrate and make some special memories," United captain Sharp told Sky Sports News HQ.
"It's a dream for me to be the captain of the football club and I will probably not realise how special winning the title is until I retire.
"I am pretty certain every member of the squad, the manager and his staff has made themselves legends of Sheffield United."
Wilder, who succeeded Nigel Adkins last May having led Northampton to the League Two title, has enjoyed a dream first season in charge at Bramall Lane, winning 27 of his 43 league matches.
Much of United's success has been down to the goalscoring form of Sharp, who has netted 26 goals in 41 matches.
United could still reach the 100-point mark if they win their remaining three matches and Sharp was full of praise for the job done by Wilder.
"He's been brilliant. From day one he told us what he wanted, he's been very demanding and that's helped us," he said.
"He came in with momentum having been at Northampton and we went on a brilliant run, got ourselves in the mix and got stronger and stronger.
"The spirit has always been high and we've been able to ground out results over the past few months.
"If we got 100 points, that would really top it off. That would be the perfect season."
