Middlesbrough caretaker manager Steve Agnew lauded his team's fight after playing out a goalless draw with Swansea.
After a tense game with few clear-cut chances, the Swans will perhaps feel more aggrieved of the two sides as they dominated for large periods.
The result means 19th-placed Boro remain five points from safety, albeit with a game in hand on the Swans.
Despite not being able to get a win at the Liberty Stadium, Agnew was pleased with his team's mentality.
"Everybody could see the fight is certainly there," he told Sky Sports.
"Some missed out on the bench and the lads who came in did terrifically well. The fighting spirit was terrific."
Middlesbrough struggled to fashion out many clear-cut chances, with the best falling to substitute Rudy Gestede in injury-time when he headed a great cross from Alvaro Negredo wide of the post.
But Agnew was not too concerned with the miss - and has faith in his team's attacking players going forward.
He added: "When you lose people like Gaston Ramirez [to injury] and Stewart Downing has to go to left-back because of Fabio's concussion - that's two really offensive players. It's difficult to sustain the attacks that we were after.
"They kept going until the end, and the pass from Alvaro to Rudy was top class. You'd expect Rudy to score but when they next one comes along I'm sure he will."
Agnew is also confident his team can survive despite having just nine games to rescue the campaign.
"It's another point and we've not lost any distance from the teams above us, we'll just re-group," he said.
"We'll look forward to the game on Wednesday night [against Hull] and look no further."
