Middlesbrough legend Fabrizio Ravanelli has reiterated his desire to one day manage the club that made him feel "like a king".
The Italian, speaking to Sky Sports ahead of his relegation-threatened former club's Super Sunday clash with Swansea, remains a cult hero on Teesside after a memorable season in which he scored more than 30 goals and helped the club to two cup finals - only for relegation to follow.
Steve Agnew remains in interim charge following Aitor Karanka's sacking in mid-March but Ravanelli says the passion of the club's fans has gripped him to this day and believes he has unfinished business.
"I still remember a great relationship with the fans. I felt like a king at Middlesbrough," Ravanelli, speaking from his home in Perugia, said. "I still remember when I first arrived; I was in the chairman's office and I saw the fans outside singing my name.
"My heart is in Middlesbrough. I tried to do the maximum when I was a player and i want to finish my job in Middlesbrough with management. i don't know when and i don't know if it is possible but it is my dream."
Ravanelli, now 48, lifts the lid on the remarkable, rollercoaster season he experienced 20 years ago, revealing what it was like to play alongside the likes of Juninho and Emerson and giving his take on Boro's fight for survival.
