Middlesbrough have completed the Deadline Day signing of midfielder Adlene Guedioura from Watford.
The 31-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at the Riverside.
Boro agreed a fee with Watford for the Algeria international on Tuesday, with Premier League rivals Hull City also having struck a deal with the Hornets on Monday.
However, Guedioura opted to join Middlesbrough ahead of Hull and it is understood the deal will be worth £3.5m, potentially rising to £4m in additional fees.
Guedioura has previously played for Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.
He had a two-year spell at Molineux before switching to Forest and then to Palace in 2013 and Watford in February 2015.
Guedioura had featured for the Hornets in the Premier League 12 times and last played in the weekend's 1-0 defeat at Millwall.
