Manchester City are set to reward midfielder Bernardo Silva with a new six-year contract, Sky Sports News understands.
Silva has been in impressive form this season, scoring five goals and dishing out seven assists in 28 Premier League appearances and securing a more regular starting role in Pep Guardiola's side.
The Portugal midfielder arrival at City from Monaco in 2017 for £43m but only became a regular starter in the City side from December that year as they stormed to the Premier League title in record-breaking fashion.
Sky Sports News has been told negotiations are close to being concluded on a £200,000-a-week deal, which will keep the 24-year old at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the 2024-25 season.
The new deal would nearly double Silva's current wages.
Silva previously won league titles in Portugal with Benfica and then in France with Monaco before making the move to England.
He has so far made 91 appearances in all competitions for City, scoring 17 goals.
Silva has also won 33 international caps as a regular in Portugal's side, although he missed out on their Euro 2016-win because of injury.
