Pep Guardiola's post-match media duties were cut short in unusual fashion following Manchester City's FA Cup victory against Newport County!

Manchester City avoided an FA Cup scare as they battled past a brave Newport County to reach the quarter-finals – but Pep Guardiola was still left with alarm bells ringing around his ears.

The Premier League champions remain in contention for an unprecedented quadruple as Guardiola's side overcame stern first-half resistance, before scoring four second-half goals in a 4-1 win at Rodney Parade.

Ahead of City's next challenge - the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Schalke on Wednesday - Guardiola reflected on a fourth successive win but his media duties were cut short by an alarm bell.

Guardiola had been asked about whether he had any concerns over the effects fighting on all four fronts could have on his squad, with the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea next Sunday to come, but the Spaniard was in bullish spirits.
