Manchester City will face no punishment from the FA for the pitch invasion which followed their recent win over Swansea, Sky Sports News understands.
Pitch incursions are in breach of the governing body's rules, and the FA has written to City to ask for their observations of the incident, but there will be no sanctions imposed.
Sunday afternoon's 5-0 win over the Swans was the first time City had played since being confirmed as Premier League champions, and stewards were unable to prevent supporters spilling onto the pitch to celebrate among the players after the final whistle.
Sky Sports News understands the FA takes a case-by-case approach to such incidents, and usually takes a lenient view if the mood is celebratory rather than sinister.
Referee Craig Pawson included the pitch invasion in his match report, but there was a tannoy announcement at the stadium asking supporters not to storm the pitch, and the FA is satisfied there was sufficient visible stewarding in place.
