David Silva: Man City head coach Pep Guardiola one of the best
Sunday 2 October 2016 14:05, UK
Manchester City midfielder David Silva has hailed Pep Guardiola as one of the best managers he has played under in his career.
Guardiola, who moved to City in the summer, has made an unbeaten start to his career at the Etihad Stadium, winning 10 games and drawing one.
Ahead of their Nissan Super Sunday clash with Tottenham, which is live on Sky Sports, Guardiola's side sit top of the Premier League and have a perfect record of six wins from their opening six matches.
And speaking in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, Silva says Guardiola's attention to detail is what sets him apart as one of the best managers in the game.
"I have had many coaches but the truth is, in terms of preparing for games, working hard on pressure and movement and giving clear directions, he is definitely one of the best," Silva told Balague for Sky Sports News HQ.

"He is on top of everything, the players and the games.
"He gives you solutions in what might happen in each game and anything he can do as a coach to make things easier, he will.
"Apart from his analysis, he communicates well with his players."
Despite City's impressive unbeaten start to life under Guardiola, Silva insists there is still much more to come from the Premier League leaders.
"In football any team can still improve, in every sense," Silva said.
"Look at the last game we played. We made mistakes but we are always learning from our mistakes.
"We are on the road," the Spaniard added. "Looking at the 11 games we have played so far we've won 10 and drawn one. I feel as though we are getting there.
"It is clear we can improve, but at the moment we are on a good path."
And Silva claims City can fight for silverware on all fronts this season as long as they can avoid injuries to key players.
"We are going to try to [win all the competitions], we are going to fight for every title," he said.
"It's going to be very difficult and very hard physically over a year. We hope the team can stay fit and have a full squad for each game.
"We hope there are no injuries and no fatigue going into games. I hope that we are challenging at the end of the season too."
