Pep Guardiola expects further improvement from Sergio Aguero after the striker returned from suspension to score twice against Swansea on Saturday.
Guardiola's side extended their perfect start to the season with a 3-1 victory at the Liberty Stadium, thanks to two goals from Aguero and a late strike by Raheem Sterling.
The Manchester City head coach paid tribute to the Argentina international, who has scored 11 goals in six games in all competitions this season and 28 in his last 27 league matches, but said he can do even more for the team in the future.
When asked if Aguero is the number one striker in the world, Guardiola said: "The best striker is Lionel Messi, he scores 50 or 60 goals per season. He is the best, but I am so happy for Sergio.
"He knows I want more and he can play better. That is what I want and what we want, but we are so happy.

"The first goal was fantastic. The striker needs to score goals and he did it."
Aguero put City ahead after nine minutes before Fernando Llorente equalised for Swansea, and the league leaders wasted numerous chances before Aguero added his second from the penalty spot.
Guardiola admitted his side were wasteful in attacking areas, but was pleased with the overall performance.
"We played very good," he added. "It was the best performance with the ball.
"We didn't create chances, we created almost chances and we missed the last pass. We arrived many times with Kevin [De Bruyne], David [Silva], and [Ilkay] Gundogan attacking the central defenders and we missed that pass.
"When a team can attack a central defender, it is so dangerous for the opponent and we have never had so many chances with this type of action. Usually they have the quality, but the most difficult thing is to be clear and precise in the last metres.
"Fortunately with the penalty and the third goal we could win. Here at Swansea it is always difficult."
The only negative for City was a late injury suffered by De Bruyne, who limped off in the closing stages and may be a doubt to face Celtic in the Champions League on Wednesday.
"I don't know [the severity], I think he is injured unfortunately," Guardiola continued.
"The Premier League is tough and that's why you have to have a big squad. Everybody is going to help us a lot."
