Claudio Bravo, who Sky sources understand is a transfer target for Manchester City, saved a penalty against Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup.
According to Sky sources, City have agreed a £17m fee with Barcelona for Chile goalkeeper Bravo, but a potential move to the Etihad Stadium is currently on hold due to a knee injury sustained by Barca goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
With the scores at 1-0 on the night and 3-0 on aggregate to Barcelona, Bravo guessed correctly to tip away Vicente Iborra's first-half spot-kick at the Nou Camp.
City remain hopeful of completing a deal for Bravo, who featured 32 times for Barcelona last season as they retained their La Liga title.
Current Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart would consider a move abroad to play first-team football this season, according to Sky sources.
