Manchester City full-back Pablo Zabaleta is considering his future after being linked with a move to Roma, according to Sky sources.

The 31-year-old has made more than 300 appearances for City since joining from Espanyol in 2008.

However, he has only one year left on his contract at the Etihad and it is understood he is attracting plenty of interest.

Zabaleta is also not guaranteed first-team football next season with new City manager Pep Guardiola yet to assess his options.

The defender's agent, Federico Pastorello, was not giving much away when asked about the defender's future in early June.

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak believes incoming manager Pep Guardiola will help the club win more trophies.

"Zabaleta has another year's deal at Manchester City," he told Telelombardia. "I understand Pep Guardiola has been confirmed but the opportunities in the market are endless. Should there be other opportunities, we will evaluate."

Zabaleta made only 13 Premier League appearances in an injury-hit 2015/16 season and lost his regular starting place to Bacary Sagna.
