Jamie Redknapp says he is so impressed with Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho put in an impressive performance on Saturday, scoring twice in Manchester City's 4-0 win over Stoke.

The 19-year-old netted the third and fourth goals in the second half as City eased to victory at the Etihad.

His display caught the eye of Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, who said: "He's a natural born finisher. If you are looking at midweek and the Champions League and who you would bring on if things aren't going your way, he'd probably go in ahead of Wilfried Bony."

Iheanacho has now scored 11 goals this season for City and goalkeeper Joe Hart said he is a "brilliant part of the squad".

"He's really worked hard and he's really got stuck in," he added. "He's had a lot of belief from the manager, to be honest. Having turned up last pre-season somewhat unknown I think it's fair to say. He's been brilliant."

Reflecting on his showing, Iheanacho said: "I think I'm improving a lot but I really need to work harder in training and in games to show my qualities."
