Manuel Pellegrini thinks Sergio Aguero could make the difference in Manchester City’s Premier League title run-in.
Aguero scored two goals as City roared past bottom-of-the-league Aston Villa 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday to narrow the gap on their title rivals.
The result moves Pellegrini's men to within two points of Arsenal in third, five off Tottenham in second and 10 behind league leaders Leicester, although City have a game in hand on the three sides above them.
Aguero has scored nine of City's last 14 goals and his Villa double took his tally to 21 goals in all competitions this season.
"Sergio is an important player - he makes the difference," said Pellegrini. "Today he played very well, not only because of the goals he scored but for his movement throughout the game and the way he was involved in the recovery of the ball.

"If he's 100 per cent fit, he always makes the difference. I'm very happy he's scored and for the team. We are the highest scoring team in the Premier League and that is important.
"He's a player with a lot of experience and he likes to be involved in important moments."
Pellegrini remains bullish about Manchester City's chance of competing for the title with his side facing a trip to relegation-threatened Norwich next Saturday.
"We know we have to play a lot more games but we realise every game will be a final - we must play in the same way as we did today," he said.
"I feel that if we beat Norwich it will be very important. We have one game in hand. Teams will lose points between now and the end of the season."
