Raheem Sterling insists it will be "strictly business" when Manchester City take on his former club Liverpool in the Capital One Cup final.
Sterling, who completed a protracted £49m move from Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium last summer, helped City overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg to run out 4-3 winners on aggregate and seal their place at Wembley.
When asked whether he will be exchanging messages with some of his former colleagues ahead of the Wembley showdown - which will be live on Sky Sports on February 28 - Sterling said he will be fully focused on picking up his first piece of silverware in a City shirt.
"I might get one or two [text messages] but it's strictly business when it comes to Wembley," Sterling told Sky Sports.
"This is what I've wanted to do. I've come here and I'm lucky enough to be in a final.
"Well done to Liverpool as well. They've got into a final. We'll meet in the final and may the best team win on the day."
Sterling was involved in a controversial moment when the ball appeared to be over the dead-ball line before his cut-back allowed Kevin De Bruyne to score City's second goal.
While the England international admitted his side may have been fortunate, he thought they deserved their luck after being denied a late penalty in the first leg.
"I was only interested in the ball hitting the back of the net," he added. "I wasn't looking if it was out or not.
"The most important thing is we got the luck this time.
"Last time we didn't get a penalty, this time it might have been out or not, but the most important thing is we scored and won the game."
