Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero is back in full training ahead of Monday night's crucial Premier League clash with Arsenal.

The prolific forward has been on the sidelines for four games since injuring his heel during the 3-1 win over Southampton on November 28.

However, in a statement on their official website, City said: "Though his heel injury was initially thought to be a minor issue, it caused the Argentina striker enough discomfort to render him unable to train properly for the best part of three weeks.

"On Wednesday morning he returned to normal training with the full squad ahead of one of the most important matches so far this campaign.

"Provided there is no reaction, [manager] Manuel Pellegrini will hope to have Aguero available for the trip to the Emirates Stadium."

City are in the midst of a title battle and are third in the table after grabbing a late winner at home to Swansea on Saturday.

And City will be a lot more confident if they have Aguero in their ranks, as the 27-year-old remains one of the most feared goalscorers in the top flight.

He has managed just nine Premier League starts this season so far but has scored seven goals nonetheless, including five in one match against Newcastle.
