Newcastle boss Steve Bruce has ruled out any further spending in this transfer window, but confirmed he would be open to a loan-deal capture.
Arkadiusz Milik - Newcastle are interested in the 26-year-old Napoli and Poland international striker (Corriere dello Sport, September 23)
Rob Holding - Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has all-but confirmed Holding, subject of a loan-signing bid from Newcastle, will stay at Arsenal, saying after the win at Fulham: "I said to him 'change your mind because you are not going anywhere'. He stands for every value we want at the football club (September 12); Newcastle's bid to take Arsenal defender Holding is currently on hold. It's understood Arsenal are currently unwilling to allow the defender to leave. Newcastle retain an interest in the player but may have to bide their time depending on whether Arsenal decide to bring in a replacement to free up Holding (Sky Sports, September 7).
Jeff Hendrick - Hendrick has joined Newcastle on a four-year deal following the expiration of his Burnley contract (August 25).
