Jonjo Shelvey hit a stunning strike for Newcastle as they thrashed QPR 6-0 in the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday evening.
The midfielder struck twice during the game at Loftus Road, with his goal coming just after the break in jaw-dropping fashion.
Ayoze Perez played the ball into his path from the edge of the box and the former Swansea and Liverpool man curled in from 25 yards out.
He had kicked off the scoring spree for Rafa Benitez's side in the 12th minute, firing past Hoops goalkeeper Alex Smithies.
Perez was the next to score in the first half before Shelvey hit the pick of the six goals for the visitors.
There was more to come as Ciaran Clark got his first goal for the club since a summer move from Aston Villa in the 56th minute and Aleksandar Mitrovic added the fifth not long after.
Another new face, Grant Hanley, rounded off the rout with 11 minutes to play as Newcastle completed an impressive victory to move within a point of league leaders Huddersfield.
