Newcastle have announced the signing of Andros Townsend from Tottenham.
The 24-year-old England winger has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal for a fee Sky sources understand to be £12m.
The two Premier League clubs agreed the fee on Tuesday after weeks of negotiations that included two rejected offers - one of a loan, the other for £10.5m.
Townsend, who has been keen to leave Spurs after failing to gain a first-team appearance since October, picked up his possessions from their Hotspur Way training base on Tuesday and drove immediately to Tyneside.
And, after completing his medical and wrapping up personal terms on Wednesday, he said: "I'm delighted to be here.
"Newcastle United is a fantastic club with great fans, a great stadium and great tradition. As soon as I heard Newcastle were interested in me, there was only one place I wanted to go so I can't wait to get started."
Magpies boss Steve McClaren said: "Bringing Andros to the club is a great signing.
"He is a very good talent who is a current England international and should be one for years to come, too.

"Andros is a winger with an old-fashioned style. He can play on the right or the left, is two-footed, quick, very direct and loves taking on defenders and crossing the ball.

Townsend has been determined to gain first-team football elsewhere in the hope he can make a late bid to make England's squad for this summer's European Championships in France.
He was also the subject of interest from Watford, Aston Villa and West Bromich Albion.
Townsend was dropped from Spurs' first-team squad after a bust-up with team fitness coach Nathan Gardiner in a warm-down following the home win over Aston Villa on November 2.
He has been an unused substitute three times since, but the last of those was the 4-1 thrashing of Monaco in the Europa League in December.
Townsend's move from Spurs is understood to be paving the way for Newcastle's Florian Thauvin to return to former club Marseille on loan.
