Conor Hourihane fired Aston Villa to their first league win of the season with an unprecedented hat-trick in Saturday's 4-2 Sky Bet Championship home win over Norwich.
Villa started the season with a 1-1 draw against Hull, but backed that up with defeats against Cardiff and Reading which subsequently reignited calls for boss Steve Bruce to be relieved of his duties at Villa Park.
Those calls put increased pressure on the Midlands club to deliver for the visit of Norwich and that they did, with Hourihane's treble almost single-handedly lifting the club from the Championship doldrums.
That said, debutant Keinan Davis played a starring role in the opener: dancing past his marker before hitting a low cross into the feet of Hourihane after being fed by Spurs loanee Josh Onomah.
Formerly of Barnsley, Hourihane doubled his tally after 68 minutes with a long-range effort that found the net via Harrison Reed's deflection and made it 3-1.
And the Irishman found time to help himself to another five minutes from time, creating space on the edge of the box before his low shot beat Angus Gunn and nestled in the bottom right corner of the left.
