Blackburn Rovers will host newly-relegated Norwich in their opening game of the Championship season.
Rovers take on the Canaries at Ewood Park on August 6 before travelling to face last season's League One champions, local rivals Wigan, a week later on August 13.
Blackburn's newly-appointed manager, Owen Coyle, will be hoping for a victory against his former side, after being sacked by the Latics just six months after taking charge at the DW Stadium in 2013.
The Lancashire club are also due to play Barnsley in a roses clash on Boxing Day before completing a difficult-looking festive period away at Newcastle on January 2.
Blackburn will also take on three midlands teams in their run-in at the end of the season - facing Nottingham Forest on April 15, Wolves on April 22 and Aston Villa on April 29, before ending their season away at Brentford on May 7.
