Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer revelled in his side's lightning start after two goals in six minutes set them on their way to a 2-0 win at struggling Leeds on Thursday night.
Winger Craig Conway caught Leeds cold after just 18 seconds with a powerful drive at the far post before Jordan Rhodes' low drive made it two with barely six minutes on the clock to seal Rovers' first away win of the season.
"We spoke about the importance of starting well," Bowyer said.
"There were lots of things said in the build-up before the game about what it was going to be like here, so it was important we came out the traps very fast.
"That was probably faster than what we expected but we'll take it.
"It's never easy. This club (Leeds) has got a lot of tradition and they've got passionate fans here at Leeds, who really care about their football club.
"But the manner of our performance was outstanding and I'm delighted for them because they're an honest bunch.
"They haven't got the rewards that some of their play has deserved this season, but here they did."
