Spurs boss heads home following heart surgery

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp left hospital on Thursday after undergoing a successful heart operation. The 64-year-old has had two stents inserted to unblock two coronary arteries. Spurs revealed on Wednesday that their boss was to be discharged inside 48 hours and he has now been given the green light to head home. Redknapp, who missed Thursday night's Europa League Group A game at Rubin Kazan, has made good progress in his recuperation. It has yet to be decided whether he will take charge of Tottenham's game at Fulham on Sunday, although he was in an upbeat mood on Wednesday, declaring that he would be back at work on Friday. Assistant manager Kevin Bond has managed the team in Kazan on Thursday night, where Spurs will seal their progression to the last 32 of the Europa League with a win.
