Mauricio Pochettino believes Manchester City are the best team in Europe and has welcomed the challenge of taking on Pep Guardiola.
Tottenham visit unbeaten City on Saturday and are currently18 points behind the league leaders, who secured a 15th consecutive top-flight win with a 4-0 victory against Swansea in midweek.
Pochettino thinks that form puts them City any other club on the continent in terms of quality.
"I think we are going to play the best team in Europe, not only in England because they are I the best form. It's so exciting, it's a massive challenge and this type of challenge you always want the possibility to have," he said.
City manager Pep Guardiola had previously seemed to have a dig at Spurs, labelling them the 'Harry Kane team', but the Argentine says that is in the past and insists the pair still share a good relationship.
"It was a thing that happened in that moment but in the end it's not an issue," said Pochettino
"We have a very good relationship. I admire Pep; all that he was doing in Barcelona, Bayern Munich and now at Manchester City. You know very well that my ideas as a manager are close [to Pep] in football.
"It's something that happened in the moment but now it's in the past, I have forgotten everything and I think he's the same too.
"I wish all the best to him and all the people that I love there but we are going to try to win and try to stop them because we need three points to try to be in the top four and try to fight for the league at the end of the season."
