Mauricio Pochettino praised his players after Tottenham thrashed Huddersfield 4-0 just days after their midweek Champions League exploits.
After a hat-trick from Harry Kane sealed a 3-0 win at APOEL Nicosia on Tuesday, Spurs produced a similarly dominant display as Premier League new-boys Huddersfield were put to the sword.
The performance secured a club-record sixth consecutive away win the Premier League and lifted Spurs up to third, two points behind the Manchester clubs.
"We deserved the victory, we were better. Until today they only conceded three goals and we scored four," Pochettino told Sky Sports. "I speak very highly about my team because we dominated the game.
"I am so happy with everyone because we played in the Champions League in Cyprus, arrived late and came here and showed energy, so that performance was fantastic for us.
"That is important for us and I have to congratulate my players. It makes me very proud about everyone - coaching staff and staff - because we are working hard to try to help the team win games and we did.
"Today was a massive challenge against a very energetic team that had a week to prepare, so we have to be happy after the superiority we had.
"It is true that we are in very good form away from home and I hope that will go well in the future too."
Kane was yet again at the forefront of Spurs' dominance, continuing his sensational goalscoring form at the John Smith's Stadium after his maiden European treble.
The England international scored twice in the opening 23 minutes, either side of Ben Davies' second, to take his September goal tally for club and country to 13.
"It's difficult speaking about Kane every three days," Pochettino added. "He is in an amazing moment, he is scoring goals and his energy is fantastic.
"How he presses and works without the ball is fantastic. My only wish is that he keeps going in the same way and helps the team win games."
Perhaps the only negative from an otherwise faultless Spurs display came on 58 minutes when Dele Alli was booked for simulation following a challenge from Terriers 'keeper Jonas Lossl in the penalty area.
"I didn't see but I have to trust in you and the vision from the TV, and if you tell me now then maybe it was," Pochettino said.
"But what can we do today, nothing? He needs to improve if that happened. He needs to know he cannot make this type of action because they are dangerous to him.
"But that is a process to learn, when you are young sometimes you make more than one mistake. It's about trying to help him improve and learn from this type of action."
