Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham are fighting for "bigger things" than just finishing above Arsenal in the Premier League this season.
Spurs last finished above their north London rivals in 1995 and were pegged back last term after a late downturn in form, but currently have a 14-point advantage over Arsene Wenger's team.
Tottenham are in pursuit of league leaders Chelsea and can cut the gap at the top to four points with victory over Bournemouth on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 1, before Chelsea travel to Manchester United on Super Sunday - and that is the only thing on Pochettino's mind.
"I think we're playing and fighting for bigger things," the former Southampton boss said.
"If we look at the bigger picture, it's to try to reduce the gap with Chelsea. I think today it's not important, the gap we have with Arsenal.
"The most important thing is to do our job, try to win games and try to reduce the gap with Chelsea."
Victory over Bournemouth on Saturday would secure Tottenham's seventh successive win.
