Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino confirms Harry Kane has returned to full training and will play a part in their Premier League game against Watford

Mauricio Pochettino says Harry Kane will be part of the Tottenham squad for the visit of Watford on Saturday after recovering from an ankle ligament injury.

The striker sustained the injury in his side's FA Cup quarter-final win over Millwall on March 12, but Pochettino says the England international is in contention to play at White Hart Lane this weekend, live on Sky Sports 1.

"Today he was involved with the team and we'll see tomorrow if I decide that he starts the game or if he will be on the bench but the good news is he is ready and he feels good, fully recovered and I think it is very good news, first of all for him, and then for us," Pochettino said.

"He is a very important player for us and to be available again to help the team is fantastic news for us.

"Maybe[he will play this weekend], I need to decide tomorrow if he starts the game or he will be on the bench, but he is good to be involved tomorrow in the squad.

"I think it is important [to have a] recovered player for the last period of the season, always important to have more alternatives for the team."

Elsewhere, Hugo Lloris, who missed Tottenham's win over Swansea in midweek due to illness, and Victor Wanyama will be assessed ahead of the game at home to Watford.

The club say that Danny Rose is continuing with his rehab on his knee injury and is on track for a return to first team training towards the end of the month.

Michel Vorm, who replaced Lloris at the Liberty Stadium, picked up a knee injury in the game and is also undergoing further assessment, with Pochettino ready to play third-choice goalkeeper Pau Lopez if necessary.

"I think Harry is very good news and then it is true that we have different players like [Erik] Lamela is long term [injury], we'll see Danny Rose, in the next few weeks maybe will be available too.

"It is important to have all the squad ready to compete and fight because it will be the tougher period of the season.

"We have Pau Lopez who is ready to compete. We will see tomorrow if Hugo will be involved, we need to decide tomorrow if he is available to play but if not, it is true we must wait for the scan that Michel is going to do this afternoon. Pau is our third keeper but is ready to play if Hugo is not ready.

"He is training with us, he was playing in the U23, the last week he played twice with the U21 in Spain with the national team against Denmark and then Italy. He is very young but he is here because we believe and trust in him.
