Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen will all have fitness assessments on Saturday ahead of Tottenham's clash with Everton on Super Sunday.

All three players were taken off in the second half of Spurs 4-0 win over Stoke last weekend as a precaution after picking up knocks in the game.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful they will get the all clear, however, as Spurs look to solidify their position in second in the Premier League, live on Sky Sports 1HD.

"They are doubts for Sunday. We need to wait until tomorrow to assess them, then take the decision," Pochettino said.

"The first moment [Kane got injured] he said it was good. When after a few minutes he tried, I asked, and in that moment we made two changes. He said 'I am okay'.

"But at the end of the game, when it got cold, it appeared more painful. But I trust that he can play Sunday. But if not, if he is a risk, he will not be in the squad."

Vertonghen only recently returned from a long injury lay-off and, having quickly re-established his excellent central-defensive partnership with Aldereireld and Eric Dier, is a cause for concern.

Pochettino said: "Jan was injured. He worked very hard to try to be fit and play as soon as possible. He played against Fulham, and Gent, then it was a caution because he was a little bit tired.

"We trust he will arrive to play on Sunday but he is still a doubt because we need to assess tomorrow. He is in a good position like Harry and Toby. I trust tomorrow all the tests will be positive and he can be available to play."

Danny Rose and Erik Lamela remain injured and will not be available for selection on Sunday.
