WATCH: Harry Kane does a David Beckham after skying a penalty!
Thursday 29 December 2016 00:13, UK
Harry Kane evoked memories of David Beckham's penalty woes for England with a skied spot-kick of his own on Wednesday.
The Tottenham striker was looking for his second goal of the night during Spurs' 4-1 Premier League victory at Southampton.
But with the score at 2-1, Kane blazed horribly over after Mike Dean pointed to the spot when Nathan Redmond dragged back Dele Alli.
The above video will show how Kane's standing foot ultimately pushed the ball up on the turf, causing the England international to fire over from the spot.
The penalty was reminiscent of Beckham's misses for England over a decade ago, with the then-captain blazing over against Turkey in 2003 before doing the same against Portugal at Euro 2004.
