Mauricio Pochettino has promised Tottenham fans that another player will sign a new contract in the coming days.
Eric Dier followed Christian Eriksen in committing his future to Spurs on Tuesday after signing a five-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2021.
Kyle Walker, Erik Lamela and Jan Vertonghen have all reportedly also been in talks over new deals as reward for the club's qualification for the Champions League and Pochettino is delighted with the progress being made in this area.
"It is always important to keep your best players and English talent. That is very important for the club. It is fantastic news," he said of Dier's new deal.
"In the next few days maybe there will be another player with the same news as Eric and Christian. It's important for the club, not just me."
Spurs take on Monaco at Wembley in their opening Champions League encounter on Wednesday evening on the back of a morale-boosting 4-0 win at Stoke, which saw Harry Kane score his first goal of the season after a slow start.
"It's important that our main striker has started scoring again," added Pochettino. "For him it was important because it's important for all strikers to feel the net. We have a lot of important games to play."
