Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen has signed a new four-year contract at the club.
The 24-year-old Denmark international is understood to have increased his basic wage from £35,000 to £70,000 per week - putting him among the club's top earners.
Eriksen had two years left to run on the five-year deal he signed when he joined from Ajax in 2013.
Reports of a contract wrangle in several national newspapers, including demands from the player for as much as £150,000 a week, were recently slammed by Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots.
Schoots said "if money were the most important thing, he wouldn't have joined Tottenham three years ago" because "he had interest from some of the richest clubs in the world".
Eriksen has become one of Spurs' star players since signing for £12.5m as part of a major recruitment haul under previous sporting director Franco Baldini, scoring 32 goals in 134 appearances.
The attacking-midfielder is one of only two players that still remain at the club from that overhaul along with Erik Lamela, whose contract runs until 2019 following an option being exercised to extend his deal earlier this year.
Spurs are understood to be in discussions over new deals for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and defender Jan Vertonghen, whose contracts expire in 2019 and 2018 respectively.
