Mauricio Pochettino is 'excited' about taking charge of his maiden Champions League game when Tottenham return to Europe's elite club competition next month.
Spurs have been absent from the top tier of European club football since Harry Redknapp's side reached the quarter-finals in 2011.
But thanks to last season's third place finish in the Premier League, Tottenham are back in the big time with the club staging their European fixtures this season at Wembley.
Pochettino said: "We are very excited because it will be my first opportunity to play Champions League football as a manager.
"This will be exciting for me and for the players too. For a lot of players it is their first time playing in the Champions League.
"To play at Wembley is another exciting possibility. To play in front of 90,000 people will be a great moment for us, a great moment for Tottenham and our supporters too."
Tottenham have been drawn in Group E alongside Russian champions CSKA Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen of Germany and French outfit Monaco.
Meanwhile, regarding the final few days of the summer transfer window, Spurs have been linked with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Sky sources say Zaha is keen to move to White Hart Lane and Eagles boss Alan Pardew has informed the player he will speak to chairman Steve Parish but will only sell if the price is right for the Selhurst Park club.
The south London team have already lost Yannick Bolasie to Everton this summer.
As ever, Pochettino would not be drawn on any links to potential signings but did concede that Zaha was the kind of player he wants.
He added: "Yes, I would like a player like this. We have improved because now we have two strikers.
"Now I think we need some players in the second line of offence to help the team compete better and have more quality in the squad because it will be a very tough season with us in the Champions League."
