Tottenham's Harry Kane hopes Southampton beat Leicester tomorrow after Spurs drew 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
Tottenham missed the chance to put pressure on Premier League leaders Leicester after being held to a 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Saturday Night Football. With the Foxes not in action until Sunday, Spurs could have closed the gap at the top of the table to two points.
But they fell behind in the 51st minute at Anfield when Philippe Coutinho finished from Daniel Sturridge's pass. Kane equalised in the 63rd minute with a fine finish but Spurs could not grab a winner.
Leicester play Southampton on Super Sunday, and Kane hopes Leicester drop points.
"I'd be lying here if I said I wasn't too bothered," he told the SNF studio after the game.
"Of course we're fighting for the Premier League, so we'll be watching the game tomorrow and hopefully Southampton can get the result.
"We've done what we can today and there's nothing else we can do so hopefully Southampton can do us a favour."
Kane also admits that his side's result against Liverpool was firmly in the balance.
"Both teams like to press so it was an open game," he said.
"Whoever could deal with the pressure better and play out better. We both created chances, it could've gone either way in the end but we have to move on and look forward to next week now."
